In Australia, where the musical project Dead Can Dance is from, the aboriginal tribe of the Watagora and Kamilaroi use the word "Yulunga" refering to the "Spirit of the Dance". From there seems to stem the verb "yulugi", which in his ancestral language means to dance or to play.

According to the Watagora, Yulunga (the Rainbow Serpent and spirit of dance) still sleeps on the River Duck. She wakes up after every storm when touched by the rays of the sun, to watch the sky and protect the good people.
